Hello Gemini-World
Just a few months ago I was browsing through the gophersphere. Learing about
gopher://zaibatsu.circumlunar.space

...and the proposal of a new protocol.
Now I'm looking at it again and this whole thing took of (sort of). Who would have guessed?
But it is of little wonder. I remember, my first computer science teacher talking about how everyone believes the internet is just the web, while there are other protocols too. Now everything really is sucked up by the beast that is http and applications are webpages collecting your every data and the web can only be browsed while the user actively fights against advertisement and malware in what should be simple documents.
I am so tired of the noise.
